Student Scoops Award for Winning Website
This year the computing and digital department held a competition in conjunction with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) for the winning website. The aim of the competition to build a website for Laughton-en-le Morthen Parish Council and a grand prize of £150 would be awarded for the best design.
The Parish councillors chose Christopher Grosse as the overall winner, who is a Level 3 Access to HE student, with his website design being chosen from out of over 100 entries.
Trevor Stanway, Chairman of Laughton-en-le Morthen Parish Council, presented Christopher with his prize at Laughton village hall alongside his tutor Terry Wilding.
Terry said, “It was a proud moment seeing Christopher get his prize after all his hard work he put in throughout the year – Hopefully this will inspire him to greater things at UCR next year!”
