Fashion students display artist-inspired work at Wentworth Woodhouse

26 June 2018

This week Level 3 Fashion students are displaying their latest project inspired by artist, Grayson Perry.

Each project was self-directed and the display is currently exhibited at Wentworth Woodhouse before the pieces being moved to Eastwood building, Rotherham College.

Megan Priestley is a student involved in the project. She said, “To start I researched the artist Grayson Perry, as his work was influenced by his local community. I decided to explore maps of Rotherham and take primary research images of Rotherham, then referring back to Grayson Perry I took influence from the cross dressing and brought these elements together.

“I am going into my second year on the diploma confidently due to what I have learnt this year at college and I am excited to see what I have achieved.”

The exhibition will be displayed at Wentworth Woodhouse until Thursday 28th June.
