Public Services Students Benefit from Bulletproof Vest Donation
Rotherham College’s Public Services students are benefitting from new equipment thanks to a generous donation by Yorkshire-based body armour manufacturers, SafeGuard Clothing.
The brand produces equipment for front-line services such as the emergency services, the military and the security industry, have donated a premium bulletproof vest to support the students who are studying and aspiring towards a career in the uniformed public services.
The vest will allow students to gain first-hand experience of public services equipment and add to their learning experience.
Thomas Bowman of SafeGuard Clothing added: We believe that access to body armour should be made available for all students on public services courses. Safeguard’s applied industry-based model in our manufacturing process is achieved through continuous and strong collaborations with the Police, Ministry of Defence, the Fire Service and the Ambulance services. This allows us to really enhance the quality of our tactical vests.”

This equipment allows us to offer a real and practical experience to enhance our students’ skills and we thank SafeGuard Clothing for their support.”
