Stop the Search, Your Future is Here
We all know how difficult it is to make a decision on what to do next, at Rotherham College you can stop the search! We offer a wide range of courses and apprenticeships that can provide routes to further education, university, skills to get you noticed in the job market, real-life work experience with employers and the opportunity to show your skills in national competitions.
Whatever you are wanting to study at Rotherham College, we can help you with your options. From creating stunning nail art with a Nail Services qualification to web production, software design and digital image creation and animation with an Information Technology course; there is something for everyone.
Rotherham College specialises in vocational qualifications; a practical more hands-on form of learning that is mixed in with theory. It is often misunderstood what vocational qualifications are worth; they are equivalent to A-Levels.
Kyle Somerset studied the Extended Diploma in Information Technology Level 3, during his course he competed in Matchfit and World Skills UK Competition as well as taking part in many enrichment activities from dodgeball to visiting the National Media Museum. Kyle said “I’d recommend for anyone to come here and do a Level 3 course rather than A-Levels.”
If further education is your goal Rotherham College offers university level courses in many subjects at your doorstep, from Access to HE courses to BA Hons qualifications. Once completed you can then move into employment or continue with another qualification at university.
Alternatively if you want to go on to university, College can help with UCAS applications, writing personal statements and creating a portfolio of work and evidence for university interviews.
Our dedicated Careers Lounge is available if you wish to move on to full-time employment by giving you the skills you need to stand out in the job market. Providing support with CV writing, creating a cover letter and employability skills that help you stick out from the crowd of job candidates.
“As a mature student, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. If you’re unsure, go for it. Do it before it’s too late, otherwise you’ll regret it” said Kirsty Lewin, who returned to college ten years later after having her son to study Media Makeup Level 4 and Certificate in Education.
