Media Students Invite you to Rock the Radio at Rockingham Radio Event
A Rockingham Radio Event will be taking place on Friday 26th July to not only create awareness of the new radio station, but to also raise funds to support the project that will go live autumn 2019.
Media students from Rotherham College and University Centre Rotherham (UCR) are working in partnership to create new local internet radio station, Rockingham Radio.
The Rock the Radio event will be at Wath Rugby Club and will feature local rock bands including Reyt Against’ Machine.
Rockingham Radio will cover the whole of South Yorkshire, including areas Wath, Brampton, Elsecar, Wombwell, Wentworth and Hoyland. The station aims to give the local community the chance to become community Radio stars, as well as train new presenters studying at Rotherham College and UCR.
Rock the Radio will start 6.30pm and be rocking until 12.00am, tickets are £5.00 plus booking fee.
