RNN Group Celebrates Higher Education Graduation

The RNN Group, which includes Rotherham College, North Notts College, Dearne Valley College and University Centre Rotherham (UCR), hosted its fourth Higher Education graduation ceremony at Rotherham United’s AESSEAL New York Stadium last week on Thursday 28th November.

This highly anticipated event accommodated hundreds of proud families, staff and organisation partners watching around 100 learners from the 2023-2024 cohort receive their certificates.

The afternoon ceremony was followed by a celebration of all these students from across the four RNN Group campuses.

This year we celebrated our Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships demonstrating our commitment to higher levels skills courses.

Representatives from our awarding universities were in attendance including Gwyneth Allatt from Huddersfield University and Becki Hamnett from Hull University. We were also delighted to hear from Eliot Kennedy – our guest speaker – who inspired our graduates to shine brightly throughout everything they do.

RNN representatives said,

“We were delighted to host this year’s graduation ceremony at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

“The occasion marked the achievements of all our students who have worked so hard in the last few years to achieve their qualifications. The graduation is such an important event in the academic calendar.

“The RNN Group are passionate about supporting the local economy and raising the skill levels in our community and we firmly believe in equipping our students with these higher-level skills needed to make a difference.”
