Rotherham College has launched a brand new podcast series discussing what it’s like to study at college, the wide range of courses on offer and how college can open a world of opportunities.
The host Debbie chats with students past and present and hears about their learning experiences. She also chats with a variety of staff with expertise in teaching, student events and social activities, finance, safeguarding and more.
The series contains three episodes titled ‘Your Future’, ‘Getting Ready to Join Us’ and ‘Parent FAQs’, with release dates of 11th August, 25th August and 8th September respectively.
In episode one, ‘Your Future’, Debbie explores how best to weigh up your options for your future by taking a look at the various programmes on offer such as vocational courses and apprenticeships for school leavers and adults, from foundation learning to degrees and other higher education and skills courses.
In episode two, ‘Getting Ready to Join Us’, Debbie finds out what life is like at college and what other activities students can get involved in, from the Students’ Union to clubs and societies. Hear from the tutors and students themselves on how to prepare for college, and what they love about their time there.
Episode three’s ‘Parent FAQs’ aims to address the many questions parents may have about the benefits of their children studying at college. How do these qualifications measure up?
