Lync Active and RNN Group partnership

New Year, New Partnership: Lync Active Health and Wellbeing Programme Launches at RNN Group

15 January 2025

Starting on 27th January 2025, students at Rotherham, North Notts, and Dearne Valley campuses can take part in a variety of exciting physical activity sessions. Partnering with Lync Active, the programme aims to boost student health and wellbeing through fitness classes, nutrition workshops, dance sessions, and specialised sports training.

Based in Worksop, Lync Active is a community-focused health and fitness business committed to helping individuals lead active, healthy lives. From their Lync Boxing Academy to Lync Performance Centre and Lync Kids, Lync Active offers services for everyone, regardless of fitness level. With a range of activities in fitness, boxing, rugby, football, and wellbeing, Lync Active inspires confidence while promoting lasting lifestyle changes.

Activities will begin with sessions on fundamental fitness, expanding to include football and specific sports training in collaboration with local clubs. Coaches who have vast experience in football, cricket, and rugby will bring their expertise, offering specialised training to help students improve skills and reach fitness goals. Dance will also feature prominently, with a qualified instructor bringing her expertise to all three campuses.

Sessions are held at regular times each week, offering both drop-in and timetabled options. To streamline operations, coaches will travel between campuses and deliver sessions at multiple locations on the same day. Exact session times will be available through flyers and announcements in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates on the upcoming timetable.

Beyond trying new activities, the programme also aims to connect students with long-term opportunities. Boxing enthusiasts may be inspired to join a local gym, while football fans may pursue further training. Creating lasting pathways for physical activity is the core goal, empowering students to join local clubs and continue ongoing training.

Feedback will be collected after each session to ensure the programme meets student needs and keeps activities aligned with student interests. Coaches will gather insights directly from participants, and additional surveys will be available for those unable to attend.

With something for everyone, the physical activity sessions at RNN Group promise to be an engaging and energising start to the term. Whether you’re looking to improve fitness, try out a new sport, or simply have fun, there’s a session for you.
