Rotherham College engineering students raise money for worthy cause

In a heart-warming display of community spirit, engineering students from Rotherham College took a break from the classroom to showcase their dedication to making a difference by raising an impressive £232.37 during a charity event at Rotherham General Hospital. The funds raised will go to the Tiny Toes Appeal, a project aimed at updating neonatal facilities for premature and poorly babies.

For 4.5 hours, enthusiastic learners Lein, Luke, Alex, and Livi, were on their feet engaging with the public, facilitating transactions, and creating a lively atmosphere at the hospital. Their commitment to the cause was evident as they passionately interacted with visitors and hospital staff to raise money. The event not only served as a fundraiser but also as an opportunity for the Engineering students to hone their practical skills in a real-world setting.

The students went above and beyond to ensure that the fundraising event was not only successful but also enjoyable for everyone involved. Children participating in the event were treated to a fun tombola, where students carefully tailored prizes to ensure the little ones went home with toys they truly desired.
