29 October 2024

At RNN Group, we’re passionate about not only preparing our students for their careers but also broadening their horizons through real-world experience.

Thanks to the Turing Scheme, a government-funded initiative, our Level 3 students have the chance to embark on life-changing, work experience trips around the globe – at no cost to them!

Cultural and Work Experience Adventures

The Turing Scheme offers our students the unique opportunity to participate in cultural immersion and hands-on work experience in some of the world’s most exciting destinations.

In recent years, students have travelled to stunning locations such as France, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus, and Germany. Each trip not only expands their professional skills but also allows them to soak up new cultures and perspectives.

Upcoming Trips: Japan, Bali, and Spain!

The trips planned for this year are nothing short of incredible, with a focus on expanding the range of experiences across different career paths.

Tokyo, Japan: A Hair and Beauty Focus

Students in Hair and Beauty will be heading to Tokyo to visit renowned beauty colleges, gaining insight into the Japanese beauty industry and its cutting-edge techniques.

This is a fantastic chance to learn from industry leaders, and, as a bonus, students will even get to enjoy a visit to Disney Tokyo!

Bali: A Global Citizenship Experience

In Bali, students will immerse themselves in a global citizenship program, working directly with local communities in villages.

A highlight from previous years was when a group of bricklayers helped lay the foundations for a hospital, showcasing how our students contribute in meaningful ways.

This year, the focus is on collaborative projects, allowing students to stay together as one group while making a real difference in the community.

Spain: A Variety of Work Experiences

Students from a range of subjects will also be heading to Spain for various work placements. From hotel management to health and safety roles, the Turing Scheme has something for everyone.

Past placements have seen our students excel in roles such as:

A 15-Day Adventure with Lasting Benefits

Each trip typically lasts around 15 days, giving students ample time to fully immerse themselves in their work placement and the local culture.

Upon completion, students receive feedback from the company they worked with and are awarded a certificate recognizing their achievement – a valuable addition to any CV!

Who Can Apply?

The Turing Scheme is available to Level 3 students across all curriculum areas. While space is limited, we want to ensure every student has the chance to take part.

If you’re a Level 2 student, don’t worry – there’s always next year!
