National Careers Week
Between 3rd and 8th March 2025, we are celebrating National Careers Week at Rotherham College.
National Careers Week (NCW) is a one-week celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK.
The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways.

Monday 3rd March
Virtual Careers Fair

– Keyring: Volunteeering talks for health and social care and also wider areas.

– Award winning songwriter, producer and recording artist Eliot Kennedy, will be speaking to music students.
11am
– Power skills talk with Lucy Barnwell.
11:30am
– Customer service/first impressions talk with Lucy Barnwell.
12:30pm
– Employability in media and creative worth, online with Grant Walker.
1pm
– Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) and University Centre Rotherham (UCR) with Dannielle Nixon.
1:30pm
– Victoria Park Pre-School with Sarah Simms.
2pm
– Power skills talk with Lucy Barnwell.
2:30pm
– New Recording Studios, Rotherham talk with Martyn Scott.

– Bird Heating and Interiors Talk with Ben Bird.

10am – 4pm: Rotherham Careers Fair: Held at New York Stadium, Rotherham.
You’ll find a wide assortment of exhibitors representing a broad spectrum of industries. These may include sectors like Finance, Education, Sales, Marketing, Motoring, Human Resources, IT, Healthcare, Tourism, Real Estate, Biochemistry, Electronics, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Social Work, Events Management, Retail, and more.
While not every industry is present at every event, the event typically offers a rich variety of roles and opportunities. These range from entry-level to management positions, encompassing apprenticeships, graduate roles, franchise opportunities, and both part-time and full-time positions.
No tickets needed.
