At Rotherham College we have a range of services and support to help you stay on track with your studies and help you to overcome any obstacles you may face.
Our Student Services team are here to help you with many aspects of student life by providing:

- Financial support to those who are eligible, and advice to those who are not

Careers Guidance – Your Career Goals
When you need help deciding on your career path or making decisions about what you would like to do in the future, you can book an appointment with one of the Careers Advisers.
They will support you to make the right decision about your next step and your choice of options: college, university, applications and getting that job.

Call into the Careers Lounge to discover a range of resources, including help with job search (CVs, letter writing, interview preparation and practice). You can also log onto the student google careers site to find further advice to help you explore your ideas.

Careers and Employability
Our Careers Advisers and Employability Officers are on hand to give you impartial information on getting to where you want to be.
They can offer support with your college and university options and applications, one-to-one guidance on career development, job searching support (including CV, letter writing and interview preparation and practice) and a careers library with lots of electronic resources to help you explore career ideas.
Interviews can be arranged at any time during the day. Some evening appointments are also available. For advice prior to enrolment please contact Student Services.
Welfare, Mentoring and Counselling
Sometimes it can be a challenge not to let personal or college worries get in the way of studies. To help you through any difficulties our Health and Well-being and Welfare teams are here to offer confidential support.
Appointments can be made by calling into Student Services at any time.
Opportunities for Learners
You can also contribute to the College by becoming a learner representative, influencing how we operate, or becoming a Student Ambassador, gaining work experience while being paid to promote the College at out events.
Safeguarding and Child Protection
The College is dedicated to ensuring children, young people and those with care and support needs are protected from harm. Our aim is to educate and promote personal responsibility for safety, health and well-being. When there are situations that need our intervention then the team of highly trained staff acts quickly, involving outside agencies when necessary to ensure students are safe.
Throughout your studies, the Student Services team will help you to overcome any obstacles and prepare you for a successful future.
Reflection Rooms
The Reflection Room is a place for spiritual refreshment and to assist the prayers of members of major religious traditions and situated in locations close to washing facilities. It is also a place for reflection and meditation for those of all or no faith. The Reflection Room can be booked in advance or accessed on a drop-in basis if available by collecting the key from reception desks at each campus.
Other Facilities
To support you when studying at the College we offer a full range of facilities which includes Libraries, Common Rooms, IT Helpdesk, free WiFi, shop and print facilities, food services, various social seating areas and Reflection/Peace rooms.
