Esports is one of the fastest growing participation sports in the world, it’s a fusion of gaming, business, events and health and wellbeing subjects brought together under one roof.
Study esports at Dearne Valley College or North Notts College, both also part of the RNN Group. Our Level 1, 2 and 3 courses are a blend of computing, business studies and sports, so you’re equipped with the best chance for your dream career in the rapidly expanding esport sector.
Esports allows you to express your passion for gaming and apply it to a multitude of roles within this developing and exciting industry. Our programmes encourage you to develop skills in gaming and equip you with the skills for success across a whole range of supporting roles within the sector. Completing our Level 3 Access course also opens the door to exciting degree level studies at the University Centre Rotherham.
Core units of study at all levels include: Introduction to Esports, Esports Skills, Strategy and Analysis, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in Esports, Health, Wellbeing and Fitness, Live Streaming, Branding, Social Media, Shoutcasting, Esports and Coaching.

The DVC Minotaurs
We have a student esports team, the ‘DVC Minotaurs‘, who compete online in the British Esports competition The Student Champs which is the largest amateur grassroots esports competition for schools and colleges across the UK.

You’ll learn from tutors with a broad range of industry experience who are passionate about developing the next generation of digital experts. As well as gaining the knowledge and tools you’ll need to succeed in the industry, you’ll develop wider transferable skills sought after by employers including problem-solving, creativity and research. DIGITAL... If you have a passion for computing and games design, the job opportunities are endless and in high-demand for talented qualified practitioners. These qualifications also help to ensure that you have the breadth and depth of skills required to progress to employment, self-employment, an apprenticeship, or Higher Education.
