This course supports your development of advanced skills, knowledge and discipline to put you on a path towards university-level study or a successful career in the uniformed and non-uniformed public services industry.
You’ll build upon your existing range of skills sought after by employers such as teamwork, communication, initiative and leadership. You can also undertake additional qualifications to support your studies, such as emergency first aid, canoe, archery and mountain biking.

Our industry-experienced tutors have had varied careers in law, outdoor pursuits and served abroad in the armed forces, with some Tutors still working as adventurous training experts.
You will take part in action-packed practical activities and pursuits, utilising the fantastic facilities both on-site and at the local Manvers boathouse and lake which offers a huge range of land and water sports and team-building activities.
To support your learning, you will have the opportunity for regular work placements and join in day and residential trips such as supporting the local police force and emergency services with their training activities and scenarios. Level 3 students will be expected to help lead on residential trips and work placement opportunities as per the behaviours required for employment in this sector.
- 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above, including English and maths

Upon successful completion of this course, you will have the opportunity to progress on to the Level 4 HNC and Level 5 HND in Public Services.
