Here at Rotherham College, we have something for everyone. Whether you like to spend your spare time buried in a book, pumping some iron in the gym, or grabbing a delicious coffee with friends – our campus is perfect for you.

The Wharncliffe Commercial Restaurant

Hungry? Say no more. As a student at Rotherham College, you will have access to our very own on-site gourmet restaurant: The Wharncliffe. 

Open to staff, students and the public, the Wharncliffe has an excellent reputation for outstanding food and service, provided by our Catering and Hospitality students under the watchful eye of their tutors.

The Wharncliffe is the perfect place to treat your taste buds – whether it’s breakfast, lunch or an evening meal you’re after, all dishes by our talented student chefs are bound to make your mouth water. 

Their menus are varied and exciting, using fresh local produce with excellent prices to match.

Inspire Commercial Hair and Beauty Salon

Ever just fancy a bit of me-time? Step up that self-care routine and treat yourself to a pamper at our on-site salon: Inspire Hair and Beauty.

Our salon is kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment, meaning you can get your hair and nails done at a fantastic price. Our students, under the supervision of industry-experienced staff, also offer a range of beauty treatments, from massages to waxes.

All services within the hair, beauty and nail bar use professional products and equipment, such as Dermalogica, Wella and NSI.

Studio Theatre 

Love live music? Look no further! Head down to our Studio Theatre to watch a live performance from some of our extremely talented Performing Arts and Music students.

With a capacity of over 150 people, our on-site, professional theatre means you and your friends can jam out whenever you like!

Fitness Suite 

If you’re the sporty sort, our brand-new Fitness Suite is perfect for you. Located on floor one of the Clifton building, this Fitness Suite is fully equipped with brand-new gym apparatus for you to fit in a workout during your college day.

The gym is packed to the brim with all the gear, machines and equipment you’ll need to reach your fitness goals, and best of all, it’s completely free!

Students have access to changing rooms, free weights section, treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, rowing machines, multiple training benches, a dedicated stretching space and a multi-use cable pull machine. 

What are you waiting for? It’s time to get a sweat on!

Clifton Library 

Why not use your time at College to upskill yourself, or simply kick back and enjoy a bit of fiction?

In the Clifton Library, not only will you have access to hundreds of books and journals to aid your studies, but you will also be able to borrow CDs, DVDs, and a selection of video games. 

Other areas to check out

If we’ve not already given you enough to do on campus, you must visit the University Centre Rotherham’s (UCR) outdoor amphitheatre in the summer months.

UCR is just a 2-minute walk away, located on Doncaster Gate. The amphitheatre is perfect for relaxing in the sun, getting a bit of fresh air and relaxing with friends. 

If the sun isn’t shining, you’ll have to check out our Starbucks counter in the Wentworth building for a tasty, smooth coffee and head upstairs to our indoor table-tennis table, where you can challenge friends, (and sometimes even staff) to a lighthearted game of ping-pong.
