Rotherham College’s Fashion and Textiles Studio is the perfect place for creative individuals to indulge themselves in the creative world of fashion and design. The large, bright, open plan studio contains industry standard equipment that enables you to work practically and digitally in all areas of fashion and textiles.

Equipment

The fashion studio is fully equipped for a diverse range of industry-standard appliances. As a Fashion student, you will have access to:

• Large pattern cutting tables
• Professional sewing machines
• Digital embroidery and looms 
• Fabric printing and dyeing
• Overlockers
• Lock stitch machines
• Cover stitch and hemmers. 

Students will also have access to professional screen printing facilities including a large print bed and exposure unit. Our innovative digital suites contain Adobe CC software for students to work on, as well as wacom tablets and an entire suite of iPads for fashion illustration.

Health and Safety

All facilities meet the requirements of health and safety legislation. Technicians work with students on certain equipment.
