The Wharncliffe Restaurant

Within our catering and hospitality department we have three industry-standard kitchens and a commercial restaurant, The Wharncliffe, that is open to the public.

This luxurious, spacious facility enables us to hold business conference meetings and private parties as well as fine dining events, giving students the opportunity to work in a variety of real-life scenarios.

We deliver training from entry level three to Level 3 in Professional Cookery and Food and Beverage services. We also offer a bespoke entry level/level one class that is ideal for learners with learning difficulties or need time to develop their skills further. All learners have an initial assessment and cooking trial to ensure they are on the correct level and given the correct support at all levels.

Students are also presented with the opportunity to take part in the renowned World Skills UK and Intercollege competitions.

As a catering and hospitality student, you will have access to:

  • Training from professional chefs with a wealth of professional experience
  • Fully equipped classrooms and computer suites
